How much should I expect to spend on the disc brake conversion?

They're fine right now, they're adjusted very well. I was just thinking in terms of the future.

I found a complete '85 axle for $75 hub to hub, I think I'll pick it up.
 
See if you can grab the front driveshaft..You will not need it today, but may save you from looking for one later if you ever decide to do things ' outside the box'.... :rolleyes:
 
pair of fj60 axles, $400,

done

better brakes and rotors to boot :cool:

not to mention larger steering knuckle pattern, also in common with mini convertion
 
I found a complete axle on the paper from a guy that was parting out an 81 mini truck for $100. I got new pads for $20 and that was it.

not a chance.

that gets you disc brakes, and a lighter wallet.

it does NOT get you stronger knuckles, stronger lockouts, stronger fine-spline birfields, and a whole lot more.
