I have a set of 33x9.5 BFG AT's that I'm going to throw on my 89 4runner, I want them to be as far out as possible without rubbing, just up to the edge of the fender....I figure I'll just run some 7" wide wheels, but how much backspacing should the wheels have to get the tires right to the edge? anyone have a similar set up? the truck still has the IFS...any info is appreciated...thanks!

c'mon...

anyone have any clue? i don't want to pay to have them remounted if i stick them on the wrong set of wheels....

I have my 33X10.50's on 7 inch rims with 3.5inch back spacing and this is what the front looks like:

Mine are MT's, but the AT's should be about the same, only at 9.50 a half inch in or so....

The rear stuffs into the wheel wells just fine with a little rubbing on the front edge of the fender....

After looking at the rear tires today, the edge of the tread is about a half inch inside the fenders while it's on flat ground, the sidewall sticks out maybe a half inch past the fender..... Make sense? :D You can see the front sticks out a bit more in the firsts pic. So with 9.50's you could probably go with a 7 inch rim with 3 inches of back spacing to get close to my setup....
