4 guys? You could probably roll it out in a day. :D I'd just focus on getting it back to a rolling state first, IE don't do shocks till the steering is done, and axle is in...

The most important part will be the planning. make sure you know what you want, and how to do it before you jump in. Nothing eats time like changing plans.

Do the front before you start the rear. Cut off and grind off all of the IFS stuff Friday Night. Have grinding wheels, saw zaw, plasma or cutting torch and Welder ready to go. Is trail Gear Support open on Saturday for your unexpected question?

I have seen them done in a weekend but things do come up. Check your trail gear parts for completeness. Make sure they sent you the right springs. MEasure them. If you are doing the knuckle kit at the same time don't use the knuckle bearings they sent you get some Koyos.

I think if you have a torch and a good 220 welder it could be done in a day, atleast the important parts, you can always do the axle gussets, shock mounts another day, or after work on monday etc. He afterall said it only needs to ROLL out of the shop. I've been eyeing my IFS and I think if I really attacked it with an oxy/ace torch and a good grinder I could have all that crap off in 3-4 hours. That pretty much includes disconnecting/cutting off the steering, and cutting off the ifs completely with out removing but a few bolts for the driveshaft etc. If you do it with a sawzall or a cutoff wheel, I could see it taking quite a while.

Will have all of the tools you mentioned and I do plan on going through all the parts before we begin the install. If for some reason there is a parts or bracket that dosent work quite right I do have a full shop right down the road that I can use to fab or modify any parts. As far as tech support goes I am not sure if they are there on Saturday or not, but I would hope with 3 fabricator's and 1 engineering genious we would be able to figure it out.

Whats wrong with the bearings in there kit?
Thanks for your info also guys.

Was planning on useing a plasma cutter for most of it and a grinder just for the clean up.
Also the fact that there will be a few other people there that having been anxious to chop up my front end I dont think it would take to long to get everything off. From what I have heard its the removal that takes the most time. The install goes pretty easy, it's just all about the placemect of everything that is time consuming.

If you have the axle and every little part you need ready it shouldn't be a problem. I spent most time rebuilding the front axle and removing ifs parts. Putting it all together afterwards wasn't really a problem... once you have the leaf springs attached its quite easy...

Its not brain surgery... I did it...

let me put it to you this way i did mine in two days, by my self. The only thing that sucked was i had to build a dolly to get the axle out side and under the truck beacause it was 100% asembled you will be fine with 3 days:cool:

something to look forward to..
