Trail ride yesterday and snapped the blue plastic arb rear air line. Took it apart today to see if this is something i can fix. Help me out guys. I removed the outter nut from the diff housing that feeds the blue line in. Theres a connector peice i cannot get loose to re-run my line. Where am i going wrong here and what should i do.
If no luck ill drop it off at the shop tomorrow. Just seems to look like something i should be able to deal with on my own. Pics below of whats going on and the patch kit i own.
Thanks

I realized i need a new line compression nut.
Thanks

ham it up E-locker - I get your sarcasm

Not sarcasm believe me because if the wire on mine was cut this close to the dif I would have the same if not bigger issue. Just commenting on a break in a normal (LOL) place

#170111 is the arb bulkhead fitting kit. This kit has the parts and pcs I need so I ordered two. Looks to be fairly straight forward. I agree What a crappy place to put a fitting on the diff.

Where is your bulk head fitting on the 3rd member?

if you were looking at it from the propeller end its located on the mid- right hand side I think the swaybar flexed up and got it. crazy thing is I've hit way bigger trails in the past and it didn't brake but again it could have been hit every time and just couldn't take anymore - not sure. I'll snap a pic later on today after work and post it up.
thanks

Ah damn man, that sucks. The instructions say to mount it there. But I mounted mine on the other side because of the rear seat bar issue. Who did your install?

a jeep shop!!!!!!

Follow up. Order th ARB bulkhead kit picture below and it contained everything I needed plus two parts, pictured last, that I didn't need, luckily. The last pic is of the bolt that threads into your diff, which mine was fine. Seems as though this is kinda like a break away design for worst case scenarios.

Next is how the parts went back together in order to remedy the locker failure I experienced. This is a fix for now until it happens again. I wish I had a good reason for someone to take my diff apart and move this fitting to the other side, if that is the better placement. This might have been the easiest thing I've done all day. No challenge what so ever. My locker is holding tight and the air pump is not continuously cycling now like it was before I replaced the line and fittings.

Placement may have something to do with the internal line which is copper tubing?

@Taco2Cruiser - give us an answer! And use laymen terms, non of the hightech jargon
Can the copper internal air line be routed and exit the diff housing to the installers preference

Haha, yeah I do get a little technical at times.

Yes. Here’s where I put mine.

FYI, you can also go 90* right out of the axle housing for clearance, thus with the new stronger line too. Talk to your ARB parts supplier and they should have the parts in stock to retrofit as needed. 80 front regear/Lockers we did last week with the new fittings

The answer is yes, it can be routes to come out either side of the diff housing.
