My rig has 207K on it and I don't know if the shocks have been replaced or not.

I'm inclined to go with a non-adjustable shock that is a bit more stiff - the nose dives more than I'd like under braking.

If the electrical connectors in the wheel-wells are not attached to the shocks(typically all black with a connector hanging off the end, like below picture), they have been swapped out for "dumb" units. Assuming your front dampers aren't blown, stiffer springs up front will reduce nose dive under braking.

Even when mine were at 150k I could tell the difference between sport and comfort. Maybe not one setting over, but all of them over I could tell.

I don't see loose connectors and the shocks don't look like dumb aftermarket versions so I'm pretty sure we're looking at original or at least original replacement units in place.

I'm inclined to replace with non adjustable units. I don't much care to drive in comfort mode, full on sport mode would be preferred.

I'm leaning towards Bilsteins and it looks like folks are going with the 5100 series shocks...?

If I wanted stiffer springs up front, what is the general recommendation?

My rig is rarely offroaded and I don't foresee that changing much.
