In a linear sense this is true, the engine runs or travels in the same direction as the rest of the truck when it's driving backwards, in reverse. It would be truly bad if the engine were to tear itself out of the engine compartment and travel forward while the rest of the truck traveled backward.

That's the only theory that I can come up with to explain the above quote...
