I am about to buy tires to go with my new beadlock rims. I am thinking Goodyear MTR 33 x 12.50. Any issues with this? I believe I will need wheel spacers for the rear. Pretty much this is my daily driver. Thanks for any input.

Nat,
I run 33x12.50's on my pig with 3" alcans. They are great tires, and I've got over 20k miles on them, with a ton of tread left to go. They have been quiet, a lot more quiet than my old all terrains. No power steering isn't a problem, it's actually easier to steer than with the 31x10.50's i had before.

Off road, traction is phenomenal, they like being aired down and work well in the desert southwest terrain. Never taken them through serious mud, though.

Hope this is useful,
Mike

Thanks for the feedback, its what I wanted to hear.

Howdy! I was going to run those in a 35 incher, based on my son's 6 years experience at Discount Tire. He said they were way above anything else I could run. But then the store manager made me a screamin offer on a set of 35 x 13.5 BFG Krawlers. Way too soft for a lot of hyway miles, and a bit noisy, but very good manners at speed. Amazing traction at 10 psi in the rocks. I have had the MTR's on my mini truck for about 6 years, and they are still hangin in there. I highly recommend them. John

I have 35x15x12.5 MTRs and they have done me just fine. Many say they get noisy after awhile but mine still have a good bit of tread left and my exhaust makes more noise than my tires (40 series Flowmaster). My only complaint is they don't clear mud that well but they do get me 3 plus hours down the interstate to the trail and back comfortably...O, and they also took my Piggie over 1,100 miles from the UP of MI to SC.

I would buy another pair but with the low number of highway miles I plan on using my rig for I will probably go with TSLs next time around.

Awesome  If all goes well, I will order them today. Thanks.
