Not sure, I don't run any gassers! Generally though there is an extra plug somewhere. I know there is on my 3B's but they don't overheat.

It should. California spec trucks use 2 temp sensors on the head (1) for the dash gauge and (1) for the emissions control circuit. Unless your truck has working Cali emissions you'll probably find a pipe plug that can be replaced with a sensor for your fan since one head fits all.
