Bumping this thread to ask if anyone knows how hot it gets inside the space under the cowl.

The posts above mentioned turning this space into storage which then made me think about how we cook hotdogs on our snowmobiles....

Haha. Maybe you guys have got aircon, but driving a 40 in summer with that vent closed is a good way to cook your hot dog.

My South African '77 doesn't have a heater, so enjoyed the use of that vent until it rusted out. Now sealed with a caulked-in plate like so many others.
