Adding the safety latch is a one banana job. A short piece of angle iron of appropriate dimensions can be attached to the underside of the bib using flathead screws that are hidden under the hood rest cushions. What you need are the measurements for the holes in a 74-78 bib: how far down from the top lip, how far inset from the face of the bib, and how far from the curve in the central opening in the bib for the radiator ?

I have a couple of boxes of those latches but, as noted, have no interest in shipping out of country.

Nothing special about the hood. It just catches the rounded over lip that is already there.

Here is my 3/79 bib's bracket

Since I'm the forgetful sort, I retrofitted a post 01/1979 hood latch to our 1970 40 series just in case...

This is what I started with:
