Congratulations, I'll guess that this is Bruce's little one, as I only heard about this very recently. Now you all must do the obligatory baby tour and head back to BC so we can meet all of you.
Should be dragging a winch cable around in know time. A family run would be cool, Maya is very maternal, for a 10 year old, she'd love to help babysit.

I'm out of the FJ45 business. Finally sold mine after storing it for fifteen years.
Emmett will be wanting to drive his Mama's mine truck methinks.

I have seen a few of those HJ75s around Abbotsford. The last one I saw was on Friday just past the Sumas exit leaving a long black cloud in its wake as it peeled towards Mount Lehman on Hwy 1. There is also an immaculate HJ45 that I seen in town every once and while driven by a young guy. There is also another HJ75 I have seen off of Townline on Matsqui Prairie. Of the two, it would be hard to decide. Better save more money Bruce. He will probably want more than one Cruiser.

I don't know, what happend to the days when if you wanted something you had to buy it yourself! I bought my first landcruiser myself (although I do appreciate the free room and board my parents provided while going to university

I did the same plus mostly paid my own way through University. Mine are lucky that their Grandparents put money into an educational savings account every year and that they get to live at home. But lets face it, if Bruce wants his kid to have a real Land Cruiser when he is 16, then he is going to have to put it or the money aside for him now. Yeah when I first got into cruisers I didn't think much of the 60 or the 70 series and they grew on me, but I don't think I will ever get used to the 80. Only way is if I start seeing some with more custom customizing. I am getting tired of staring at them in the Toyota trails all with ARB bumper, 2-3 in lift, 33-35 all- terrains, roof rack with "expedition tent", and tube sliders. I'd like to see one with swampers, custom built bumper..............then maybe they might grow on me too
Sorry Bruce and Phillipa about the hijack. you can collect cruiser for the little guy, just make them need some work so he appreciates it!

the plan is to get the 74 back in wheeling shape with kids crash seats in the back...5 point harnesses for all three.....then the 80 can remain the DD.
as for the mine truck, it'll prolly be ready when Emmett is ready to learn. unless the money tree in the backyard starts bearing fruit soon.....
