do a search about the resonator-im not talking about just cutting off a few inches but actually cutting off that stupid coffe can looking thing-many report a foul noise if such is attempted

Ahh.
Mine had an aftermarket muffler on it when I bought it. Not sure what flavor, but it has no coffee can, and is tucked away nicely.
I asked because I was thinking about lopping off 4 or 5 inches of the end of the pipe.

i lopped off my coffee can before i swapped exhausts and to be honest it wasnt much louder. some get a whistle and i did hear that a bit. it wasnt a bad whistle i could acctully tell people i had a turbo and they would buy it.

it was a pita fabing the ps bumper outrigger around the exhaust. cutting of the can is a good idea ifffff there is no risk of spousal consequence

Oh - cut that silly can off. Better yet, get a flowmaster from vatozone and re-route it.

i was thinking about trying to move the coffee can up under their but that exhaust pipe is thin and im worried i might botch the job when i try to weld it. i need to get some exhaust pipr to practice on. has anyone moved their coffee can?

it only whistles with the stock muffler.
