Just an update. I've been cruising back and forth to work for a couple weeks. The rig still feels more solid and smooth than it did before. I like the OEM rubber/heim combo.
Now that I have done my panhards and rear uppers, I need to do my rear lowers. I currently have Slee old style tubed ones (2x.250 wall DOM IIRC). I plan to cut one end off and put a 1-1/4 heim in place.

Just fine nearly 7 years later. I occasionally get some squeaking if I've been on dusty roads all day but it goes away.
I just saw your post as I was looking over some of my old build threads. Sorry it took so long to respond.
