Hi, I was thinking of making my own frame straightening machine. Probably something that has about 20 ton pull. It would be moveable and made with probably 4 inch 3/8 steel square tubing. One pull post at the end of the main center beam. Grade 8 bolts,chains etc.Probably 5 -6 pieces of steel tubing would do it. Tired of long waits at shops plus I do most of my own work anyway. Anyone made their own machine. Mike

I can't offer anything helpful on this, but I'm certainly curious to see if/how this pans out. Admittedly knowing nothing about straightening a frame, I would think though that 20 tons might not be enough for a 6x frame or anything even beefier.

I’m thinking the steel would support a heavier ram arm and wondered myself if maybe a 40 ton would be better.
