Has anyone tried these out for pressurized water? WaterPORT: Vehicle Mounted Pressurized Shower

I like the various mounting options they offer.

you can make the same thing out of plastic piping from home depot for next to nothing, maybe $30 in parts? keep in mind that 3.3 gallons is way too small for any real usage. 5 showers on 3.3 gallons? no way unless you are washing midgets.

I may still go the plastic piping or another route (road shower or homemade cylinder) and use my box on my tent trailer. I wish I could find an aluminum cylinder with end caps, similar to the road shower? any ideas on a source?

I just found one at online metals.com
Any width, any length.

I have one of those portable propane heaters for my trailer setup. The inlet hose was some weird british standard pipe, so an adapter wasn't a home depot option. But once that was overcome, I've got it hooked up to a standard propane tank. Works well, and yes it will need a certain amount of pressure to work - it basically turns on once the pressure hits a certain level.

anymore info on what this takes to work, I am guessing it needs pressurized water to the inlet? can small propane tanks be fitted on them or an adapter to a smaller propane tank?

it needs water from any 12V pump
it needs a camping LPG tank i use 2Lb
1 D battery for the ignaitor and control

thats it

what pump have you guys used with it? I have a zodi camp shower and was not happy with it as the pump was crappy and really could not pull water up into the heater and out the nozzle whatsoever. To get it to work I had to elevate the whole setup on a roof rack. This is why I decided to mount my water box on my roof rack in order to take advantage of gravity.

Running a 12v rv water pump - fairly stout compared to gravity.

I don’t have that exact heater - very similar, and mine doesn’t really give a ‘lowest flow’ number, but You could give it a try without a pump and see. Thing is, without a pump, getting it up and through the heating element is one thing, having enough power to then push a shower head? Eh.... maybe? Pump I have isn’t expensive.

I bought a 10 gallon white plastic water holding tank from a rv repair center. I mounted it on metal angle iron i welded into the spare tire location. Then I wired in a 12 volt on demand pump...... Viola!! Showers for everyone! Great pressure... can wash dishes, I just unscrew shower head and screw on kitchen sprayer. For heat I throw a 3 gallon pot of water on my propane stove, run it on hi for 10 minutes, and dump into tank.... HOT showers! Cost?...... less than $100.

sounds cool, have any pics? how do you fill it easily even though it is under the car?

It came with a 1 1/2” filling hose that has the plastic piece you mount to the side of a rv. I put a 1 1/2” hole with a hole saw in my floor and ran fill tube down to tank. So I just open rear hatch, spin the cover off the fill tube, stick hose in and fill. It has a vent to tell me when it’s full, but I can hear it getting to the top. I need to find some type of gauge that would work on it though.
I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO POST PICS! I’ve had others that wanted to se it, but I can’t figurevit out! I did 1 time, but I don’t remember what I did! Lol.... I’m always posting from my iPhone.
