Checking in.... We had so much fun the last time we joined together at HC I was thinking it would be fun to do it again! It's CLC's gig so I haven't even approached RS about it yet out of respect for you guys. It would be cool if some of our Cruiser kin-folk from the North showed up to via invite. Your call! What say ye?

Lol @ Trevor... Yeah, that spot scared the SH:censor:T out of me. Funny, I was just talking with Brent about that on the Red Cone trip. He was in front of me with almost the same rig and just about dumped it over, had I not seen that, I might have been O.K. :D I heard someone cut that dang tree down though? :meh:

Unfortunately, I won't be making it this year. I will be getting back from vacation on the 13th of September, and will most likely be even more broke than I am now. That plus wife and daughter birthdays in the same month. Not really sure I have a rig that can make it anyway :frown:

I see no reasone in the world why anyone would object to Rising Sun coming along. The more cruiserheads the better as far as I'm concerned.

I have a one track mind in September for bow hunting so I won't be on this trip. I think it would be great to have Rising Sun and Colorado Land Cruiser team up on runs.

well i guess ill be the trip leader than. Kev, Go ahead and try to get some intrest from the Denver Crew! !

any other CLC guys intrested?

Interested, but out of town that weekend.

I really want to but pretty sure im on call this weekend. See what i can do...

If you don't mind a northerner coming I would love to join. I have been wanting to try Holy Cross for sometime but don't have anyone to go with. Please let me know the plan so I can make proper arrangements.

Also, any special requirements for the rig?

Edit:

Just watched some of those video's, I am in if I can get sliders built in time. Looks like I will need them.

Sliders and bumpers are a good idea for french creek. and your welcome to join us! just subscribe to this thread, we will hash out the details soon..

So, i guess at this point its just me and Kevin, maybe kbahus. Should we camp friday, or saturday night,, Or both??

Trevor

Trev, looks like a couple RS'ers are "Toying" with the idea. Heading up early Sat and coming home late morning Sun seem like the popular choice so far. I'll check in with a head count when I have one.

I am glad I found this thread. I am headed to Co to run Holy Cross with a buddy and was looking for some toyota guys to come but looks like we will be a day early. My friend said that it is crazy busy on the weekends and wanted to go on Fri so there is less traffic. So if you guys plans change and decide to go on Fri maybe we can meet up. I belive I met some of you at BHCC. We will head out from Parker early and drive up and back. I will keep and eye on the thread to see what happens.

Jefishing,

It can be busy, The key is to get on the trail early. Even if there is a crowd at french creek, its always a good time, and you have plenty of time to get the entire trail in.

I think we would loose even more intrest if we went friday, but im up for it either day!

I understand about friday most people can't usally do a weekday. I have never been so I am exicted to go and hear the creek can be a fun place to watch rigs. If it works great if not thats cool and have fun.

Any plans yet? For me doing the trail on Saturday is a must as I have a 50th wedding anniversary of some close friends on Sunday that I will not miss. So for me I would rather head up Friday late afternoon, do a cookout, do a night run, kick it around a campfire and enjoy some appropriate Oktoberfest libations then get up and do the whole trail early Sat. For those who cant make it Friday we could hit the trail later on Sat so they could get up there to join us. Just thinking and typing....I'm only a supportive guest.

Friday night works for me too.. i may not get there till 9ish, Depends on if i can convince Ben to bring the War Pig..

Same Campsite as last year?

Hopefully! I'm bringing a full crockpot of Elk stew so you'll have food when you show up. Looks like 3 of us from RS unless the silent lurkers show up, which would be great!
