Holes in the 2H block.. (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know what these two blind holes in the 2H are for?

I just so happen to be looking at them myself at present Duncan. I guess if something was mounted on that side, and sometimes things are better with more holes to give more options and easier earlier than later to make the threaded holes.

But my running 2h has them unused so I assume they are unnecessary. I am going to plug any unused bolt hole with a bolt so crud doesn't build in it, including the alternative mount bracket bolt holes.

I think I have something like 6 x m12 1.25p x 20mm and 12 x m10 1.25p 15-20mm.

A mystery.
