true...but if its only mounted out there on the trail..itd be nice for easier access, i wouldnt mount one outside of a zuk.....our trails are too tight...itd get ripped off quick, kinda like how dom almost ripped his tailgate off bc of his spare :rolleyes: ....thats why my spare is in the back now, no more sissy tailgate mount
 
you could always do 2 sections of pipe with holes in the center-- one on top of the other, then the bolt would be passing through 4 sections of steel and be (I think) less likely to develop as much torque...

10ft of 1x3 inch stock 1/8 wall
15ft of 1x1
6inches of 2" tube 1/4 wall
about 1' by 1.5' foot of 1/8inch plate for the jerry can holder bottom thing...
4 grade 8 bolts


3 inch tube was capped off and drilled for a grade8 bolt ( for replacement of the spindle) and the rest is kinda self explanatory...

No worries bro it will be filled with ice tea and 90wt :D
