3fe = Meh. especially compared to the 1fzfe in the 93+

No, I don't email others on clist. If it doesn't have a phone number I won't bother. I'll just shut the fxxx up now.

Darrell, if the buy back is $500 or less I'm still interested.

The A440 trans IMHO the trans to get since it was used in all the hd vehicles Mr. T made.

Though I have a theory that the a343 should be able to be adapted to gear drive t-cases (ie mini's). But i dont have a guiniea pig. :grinpimp:

I sense some mad experimentation to occur shortly. Anyone have a spare 3rd member for an FJC? I got a bit of bearing noise on mine I need to solve.

So automatically its a carrier or pinion bearing?

Your Steffying it.

I have a spare A343 and the means to swap output shafts if necessary.

the a3xx series of trans's are modular. you are able to swap bells, tails, etc from all different ones, 2wd, 4wd, lexus, cars, trucks, old..... Ive always wanted to see if you could put a a340f tail on the 343, or use the 343 bell and put a 340f on the 1fz. Then you can adapt to mini's. Or the ax15 (found in the cherokee) is also a aisin 300 series and has a tail that can bolt up to a d300 with no adapter....:hhmm:
