Holy smokes that was alot of grinding. I originally wanted 3/16" wall but all they had was 1/4". Shes gonna be solid.

Got the underside blasted and painted. Now to finish bondo then paint. Getting excited!

Finally did some work on the old cruiser.
Got a smoking deal on a new radiator for a fj60. Its thicker and looks way better.
Installed a tranny cooler and trans temp gauge. new rust free fenders.
Got some mint seats and interior pieces from Australia.
New fuel line and fuel pickup tube.
New brake lines. Also got a arb style bumper.

And I ended up getting new doors instead of using the doors i fixed. 2 steps forward. 1 step back

Send the doors to me! Ha! Seriously jumping in late and seeing what you’ve done is amazing. I’ve got some cancer to deal with sooner than later but it give me hope cuz it’s not as bad as yours was. My inner frame arches are in need esp since I’ve got a lift kit coming. I started simply wire brushing, digging and vacuuming out dirt, old mud, and half eaten acorns from the driver side. Have not put any speed on it yet w/ a wire wheel.
The passenger side isn’t near as bad but has about 1/4 oil seal coating (done in VT more than 5 years ago) left at the top most portion near all the lines which worries me. Not quite sure how to remove it other than carefully w/ a wire brush. At minimum I thought I’d throw on a coat of linseed oil to the outer sides.

Finally back to working on the cruiser! Our new place has a detached shop which is way better than working in the driveway! I'm swapping out the doors for rust free doors and then finishing the bodywork and painting it. Just gotta get the air compressor setup.
@kushcruiserhj60 fantastic job through and through. Happy to see you progressing. I've been reluctant to tackle the rust on my 89'. But it must be done.
