Hey, in aust. Have a couple of cruisers and I guess a few hats in different tech forums.
I’m a heavy road transport and heavy mobile plant mechanic ( trucks and mining) . Welding tickets, A/C tickets, run a mill and lathe, do fabrication work and also upholstery.
Most importantly no that no man knows all and though capability is there am well aware of the fact that there is an infinite amount I’m unaware of and more than happy to ask and “stand on the shoulders of giants” basically ask.
First up just got this cruiser ute in a flat pack
. And who doesn’t like a fully “fully” stripped buy. But how good as well. Don’t have to do all that work
. ( be positive).
A great bloke and his young fella were doing this as a project and the young bloke is a gun in the pool and time is precious and allocated to that so she was reluctantly passed on.
Was sold as an 83 model. Further investigation on that and clean up of glue and paint covered plates have revealed 11/84 as the compliance date. I have supercharged an Ai search and have what appears to be the highest vin number that I can find and an extremely late compliance date. To the fact that there are 10/84 definitely and was the last production run month for them for Australia. Troopy’s appear to have a run after that.
So would be happy to engage in a conversation over this late date or anything and if anyone was chasing info for the heritage document side of things to bracket the wholistic 47 or 40’s happy to throw that info your way.
But yeah hello cruiser world.
