Depends on how you look at it. I can change a headlight myself. Not to mention OEM windshields are NLA.

Anyways, good luck. Statistically, you shouldn’t hit anymore turkeys, so that’s a silver lining.
Safelite could fill that, no problem

All,
As the title says, I hit a turkey on my 22 hour road trip, it was a glancing blow, but broke my drivers side headlight, Lexus quoted $1800 and $600 to install…..what are my after market options EBay?
$514.87 with free shipping. Replace it yourself. Its super easy.

FYI. That's for a 2008.... not a 2013-2015 LX. Completely different assemblies, part numbers and cost.

Didn’t want to run though my insurance, but I might have to, got a body shop guy who is a good friend so he can cover 1/2 my deductible I can get the one from above and he can make it happen.

Update: Headlight on EBay didn’t have the modules, but mine still worked, $349 free shipping, my body shop charged $50 to install (gave him $.80) as good as new!! life is about small victories!!

Glad it worked out.

Did you get a used or aftermarket?

In this case going used is usually better anyways, unless you want to replace both headlights, for how non matching a 10 yr old headlight vs a brand new one would be. Also the saving $1k isnt bad either.

Scoring a used Land Cruiser part that you really need for a fraction of the cost of new is such a good feeling! Especially when it comes with that perfect patina to match the rest of your truck!

Comprehensive claims won’t affect your insurance costs or record. Turkeys are acts of god. You just pay the deductible.
