Stripped off all the wood on the front 16' foot of deck, added 1.5" square x 1/4" wall tube on 16" centers front to back and 1/4" x 2.5" flat bar on 12" centers cross ways then 14 ga. tread plate decking. Seems to make the trailer stiffer. Still wanna cut the dove tail off but that'll be another day.

At any rate the camper is mounted. Once I get a couple of jobs done the next couple of weeks I may be able to get the steel for the door frames. After that'll be something to fill the gap between the camper overhead and the gooseneck and some spare tire mounts.

Nice Mike. You are starting to compete with Rob and the big red bus now.

nice mike...you could damn near get another rig on there...:flipoff2:
No sir... Not damn near.... I CAN fit another rig on there. 27.5 feet from the back of the camper to the end of the trailer.

Wait 'til ya see the white picket fence tho :flamingo:

Very nice -

It looks very long... What kind of Axles are under it? Will they handle the weight of 2 rigs plus the camper.... (only reason I know is I seen my brother over load one once with a couple of tractors...)

Congradulations

now I see why you wanted me to finish the intercooler!

Daaaaa! :flipoff2:

2 7k# axles.... I've not wighed the trailer yet. The camper 2500 dry and the 40 is about 4000 and a buggy (someday) will be about 2200. That's 8700 on the deck so figure 9000 loaded for a week away, which leaves 5000 for the trailer.

Eventually I'll change to Dexter 8K oil bath alxes and maybe a 6.4L dual turbo F450 4x4 ...... Git 'er Done!

I'm gonna have to drop my membership to this club...too many expensive ideas get put into my head

You have a CDL? You may need one with that rig. Have any idea what your tongue weight is now that the camper is up front?

It's a shame there are no pics or video while you and Deb mounted it. :hillbilly:

Nice Setup Mike...

Check on the CDL and license plate / weight restrictions. I have heard of MO-DOT pulling people over for over weight.

I always wondered how you get the camper on the trailer.

Very good - Just need a plasma cut pink flamingo on the rear dove tail !!!

According to Kansas, at least what I've found so far is that I don't need a CDL since it's not a commercial truck/trailer, however I do need one to pull my single axle, under 2K# work trailer because when I pull it to a job site I'm a commercial motor vehicle.....

:confused::confused::confused:

You sure about that Mike? We haul our gooseneck all over KS and our drivers have been stopped more than once - all of whom do not have a CDL. I believe the CDL is required when the GVW is 26,001 or greater. You might also check into a medical card, as we have those on our drivers.
