High start Idle on the FZJ motor

weird, that's a pretty annoying feature to put into a new car. if it's an out of the box feature, maybe they were struggling to get the truck to meet emissions requirements to the point of installing a feature no one would use? I imagine the salesmen used to warm up the trucks every morning before the customers came!

I have to check. I know it is not 3 minutes. It never bugged me.

Cruiserman, as for the rattle, maybe your new motor will not do it.

No, the start up idle seems fine to me. It is around 1,200 until warm up (usually a few seconds) and drops down to 650 fairly quickly.
