Thought I'd share recent update to the car audio on the Land Cruiser
Pioneer AVH-4200 headunit
Hertz H8 DSP
Hertz HDP1 1000w mono amp
Hertz HDP4 150w*4-channel amp
Hertz DPower4(4 channel bridged to 150w*2)
Hertz HX300D 12" subwoofer
Fully Active 3-way Hertz Mille Pro speakers up front, all other factory speakers disabled. 5.25" midbass in door panel, 3" midrange in dash, and 1" tweeter on a-pillar.
The three amps are definitely overkill, but gives me headroom for upgraded later if there's certain speaker components I'd like to upgrade later down the line.
Couldn't go with 6.5" speakers in the door due to clearance issues. Higher end speakers typically have larger magnets so settled on the 5's with a 2.3" mounting depth.
I built myself a hybrid cargo drawer + sealed subwoofer box + amp rack where the HDP1 and HDP4 and are mounted. Still need to finish up the drawers so that will come in the following weeks. Most likely a separate build thread of it all if people are interested.
