What do you mean ? It does take em about 3 seconds to fire up and about 30 to fully warm up

Basically where the light "cuts off" at the upper edge of the beam.

I haven't even seen any cut off so I guess it's ok

by cut-off, he means the light pattern. Typically, HID lights have specifically designed reflectors to have a clean light pattern. If you were to point them at a wall, is there a lot of dispersion, or is there a nice horizontal "cut-off"?

Hows the cut-off?

I was wondering how long it would take for some of the lighting police to come in!

Usually it's not a very good idea to put in HID's in headlight assys that were designed for halogen bulbs, with lights scattering where they were not meant to be, potentially blinding the on-coming traffic.

Thats why I like the Hellas H4's there cut and focus the light down and to the right to keep the light out of the eyes of traffic.... no ones even flashed me yet :meh:

As I understand it, all HID headlights are required to be shielded and I "think" actually move up and down (vertically)
I was having a conversation with someone at SEMA about this exact thing.

YA there is a cover on the bulb and in the Hella light and the "bulb" move up and down to do high and low

I'll take pics against the wall tonight

well just a update on my HID's I found out that both basic wiring kits dont work very long or at all with the cruiser wiring.... so after a month or so the high beams no longer work..... lows work great still ... I just ordered Cruisercraps harness. I will post up after I install his custom FJ harness

Joel,
I'll have your harness done in a few days, and please post up a review, this is my prototype harness, and If it passes your test - I'll make a few more. ;)

Thanks for the chance I know I don't need high beams but it'll be nice to have it workin again
