most random use for my hilift was to pull my transmission in line when i installed my custom cross member drop brackets. a bucket underneath wasn't too assuring, so needless to say me under transmission and t/c held up by a 1/8" thick piece of plastic trying to put a bout 600 pounds of pull to move the damn thing a half inch. but it worked although jack sideways underneath a vehicle can be an extreme pain in ass.

My Hi lift handle has spent more time as a tie rod stiffener, than a jack handle, on other peoples vehicles.

I've seen that too. What I have also found is that schedule 40 black iron pipe is the perfect inner diameter to sleeve over an FJ40 tie rod. I wonder if a length of that schedule 40 would work as a jack handle-that would be a good upgrade.

keep your jack handle and just carry a couple muffler clamps that way if it bends but does not break you can still get home.

4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers has them for $9.95/ea. Just checked with the local guys...

Jody is all over this one. I just bought one at 4wheelparts wholesale. They had yellow and black.
