I don’t require a state inspection or smog where I live so I wouldn’t be able to answer that. All the sensors are hooked up just like in the plastic bumper. Don’t have any problems gets me plenty of front entrance clearance.

I’m also originally from NJ, and now live in California as well. Feel like I went from bad to worse.
I didn’t pass inspection in NJ one time because I had a rusty/rotted quarter panel on my old late 80’s Volvo.
