Dan Hull (D'Animal) lives right near Visalia...... if it needs to be checked out, or given a place to live for a while.

I like the "Straight line V6 4.0 L engine" and the tires that only have a few months left on them

Yeah apparently sold his jeep, so you never know, probably looking for a wagon or pig if he were to get something.

Not all border crossings are set up to handle vehicle exporting/importing, so you'll have to find which one to use. I used the one south of Lethbridge (Coutts/Sweetgrass)

You need to send the US Customs border crossing office a fax with the title (both sides), bill of sale and cover letter 72 hours before crossing. When you cross, they'll have you go in with the originals to check that they have the info they need, then stamp the title. Drug dog might sniff the truck. Then you are on to the Canadian customs.

If it's older than 15 years, then it doesn't go into the RIV system (registrar of imported vehicles) and it's essentially like bringing back any other shopping from the states. They fill out a vehicle import form, count your exemption amount against what you paid, and have you pay appropriate tax and duty. Easy as that (at least it was for me).

If the vehicle is newer than 15 years, then it enters the RIV system which adds more paperwork and fees.... no experience with that.

Curtis
