You think that cruiser is worth the asking price? If so, why? If not, what do you think is a fair price?
I have to be careful how I answer this question; it may be yours. I think the price is a bit high. I know these old fj40 have thick sheet metal, and I would base my opinion on the amount of rust it has. Some of these old rigs hold up well over the years especially if taken care of & do well with the V8 conversions, but I also think the conversion lowers the value. If it had power steering and disc brakes it would benefit the addition of the V8. Looks like there are a couple of odd patch pieces on the driver's side. There is not really enough photos to base a good opinion about its physical condition. Based on what I see for the right buyer maybe $12,500 (+ or -)that's in premium running condition, little rust, needing no repairs.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply. I agree with your analysis but differ on the conclusion. To me $7K would be generous.

I think $7K is probably about the limit for me as well. The diamond plate on the rear corners is probably concealing some rust there, but you never know. The interior looks okay. He/she will probably sitting on it for a while.
