Helton hot water heat exchanger mount

That would be great, thanks!

I just installed the Helton this weekend. My heater T's were about to go so it was good timing. I couldn't see how Kurt mounted exactly, so I just drilled through the lip on the firewall, and secured it there. One crazy heater hose from NAPA allowed me to make the necessary bends. My fresh water lines are 3/8" air hose, a blue one from NAPA and a red one from Lowes. I will see if they hold up to the heat. I have the LX so I mounted the quick connects just in front of the radiator behind the bumper. I figured I would have the hood open for this procedure anyway so didn't need to put them outside. Now I just need to get the pump set up. Will probably mount that right next to the QD's.

So after melting the shower head gasket on the one that comes with the helton, I think it is time to add a temperature adjustment valve. The thing makes some hot water!

I'll probably integrate the temp valve into the pump box I made... Not sure I want it the engine room or on the bumper.

Anyone have a good source on a rugged shower head and hose? I'm thinking something like the one that comes with the propane hot shower systems, but I've not found a good lead on one yet.

Bump, anyone have any recent installation pics or insights? Looking to get an OB Shower system soon and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there is a pretty good on board shower discussion going on in the 200s section. I need to do an write up on my 100 series Helton with the updates from the last few years. Good news is it’s going strong and reliable.
