I have the same issue with my rig - I ordered a new pan from landcruiser parts LLC (discontinued by OEM). Right now bolt is in, hand tight, but just spins when I try to wrench on it either direction. The fluid is barely leaking — enough to feel a little greasy but not dripping. Any tips on further sealing the plug from outside before the new pan comes in? RTV vs epoxy? I’m planning on checking fluid level every fill up til I get the new pan.
The best I can say is use a can of Brakleen and spray the area liberally to remove as much residue as possible.

Buy a can of "The Right Stuff" in black, but only the stuff in the cheez-wiz can. This version and only the black are oil resistant and are a ONE minute cure time. The can of sealant is about $25, but it's great stuff. Don't get the squeeze tube, as that is just a silicone and it doesn't like oil.

You can get it at your local FLAPS. Slather the stuff all the way around the outside of the plug. It will at least slow the drips to a minimum. It may not be a permanent fix.
