I was hit lightly by a truck on my driver's side bumper, right after the rear tire. I now have a vibration coming from that side it's not bad but it's noticable as I didn't have it prior to the accident. What should I have them check to ensure its fixed? 2016 LC. Thank you in advance. I didn't see any damage under the vehicle or by the tire .

Have any pics?

Last photo is after I got a wet rag and cleaned it up.

Just on the side? Didn’t get under it and hit the exhaust or anything?

Yep just on the side I swerved to the right but the other driver turned into me w a Chevy truck. I didn't notice anything damaged under my suv.

Most of that is just plastic skin, so maybe you're just hearing flopping/vibrating due to broken clips...

Here's what it looks like under there:

if you have a tape measure that goes up to 10 ft I have a friend hold the centerpiece the metal piece that attaches to the tape at the center point of the rear hub and pull the tape out to the centerpiece of the front hub and remember or write it down. Do the same thing on the other side and if there is sizable difference in measurements that means something in the suspension is bent jack up the vehicle in the air and spin the wheel see if it wobbles.

It doesn’t look like it’s out of its clips but maybe the rear bumper is flapping in the wind when driving? I’d only expect this above neighborhood speeds though.

Or possibly a bent rear wheel? But.. these things are strong. There would definitely be visible marks on the tire or wheel if this were the case.

More info needed.

When does it rattle?
At certain speeds?
At certain RPMs?
While moving/not moving?
Etc.
Sound details?

Record a video for sound...post to youtube. Often very helpful for better suggestions...

It's a vibration from the rear kinda like when tires are out of balance, feels bumpy in the rear now. Felt mostly from 20 to 65 mph, if I'm trying to pass or hit the gas hard you don't feel the back vibration until you stabilize speed. No vibration or rattling while not moving only that rear vibration/bumpiness while driving. It's not making any odd noises.

I don't think a video would help cause the steering wheel isn't vibrating, but it is now out of alignment a little, however you feel the vibration/bumpiness in the rear ride quality now.

This tells me you need to get on a 4-wheel alignment rig and check for a bent frame or rear wheel misalignment - something in the suspension/chasis/drivetrain is messed up (that's a technical term).

Is the rim itself bent?
Just checked rim looks perfect, honestly I think he missed the rim tire (no evidence of a hit or scrap on it), drivers side rear frame looks straight I didn't put a level on it though. Interior balance weights appear to be there. Don't see any abnormal fluid on that side. Toyota is checking it out tomorrow, and auto shop on Monday. Just wanted
Some idea of possible reasons.

Rear axle seem centered under the vehicle? A side impact back there could bend the rear panhard rod. Either of the shops checking it out could find this easily.

Would I be able to see that by getting under it?

Yes. Behind the rear axle is a large bar that goes sideways from one side of the axle to a bracket that hangs down off the frame. I can’t remember which side is which, but it’s the only part with that description. This keeps the axle centered under the vehicle. If it has any bend at all, or if either the bracket on the axle or frame look bent, this could be your problem.
Note that this is different than the four other links that go forward/backward, those are all in front of the axle.
