SeaFoam, in addition to being a LandCruiser color of old, is a fuel system cleaner that I pour in my tank. I think you can also pour it in the carb, maybe in the crankcase. It has several applications, but I only pour it in the tank.
Good stuff, IMO.
I still think you had water in your gas.

I'm all for the solution of the gas line anti-freeze except for the fact that it was ONLY at idle. I have experianced water in gas before and it was all though the RPM's. but hey,that was the only change (other than air temp) and it seems to be fine now so.........
 
I was surprised when I bouth my PCV valve at Carquest... Cost me $4.00

It's about the cheapest part I'd ever gotten for my Cruiser. I figured it wouldn't hurt to replace it....

Buy some SeaFoam while you are at the part store for some "belt and suspenders" protection....
