Yeah the price is definitely reasonable if the quality is at least decent. I'm just more worried about whether it will fit without issues. How about you give it a try and let me know lol!
Let me pose my question again but slightly differently: Has anyone successfully replaced their worn out 1998-2002 LC wheel with one from a 1998-2002 LX470? Looks like it will work from the information I've gathered, but it would be nice to hear from someone who has actually done it. Thanks in advance!
Sir I was checking your progresss since I am trying to do something similar. I own a 2000 Land Cruiser and want to replace it with a 1998-2002 LX470 WOODEN steering wheel. WILL THIS SWAP WORK?? Any expets out there that would know if this a simple swich? Does ANYONE have any ideas or suggestions besides my idea? I would rather NOT buy a wheel from CHINA, Taiwan, etc on EBAY, but am open to buying on EBAY. The price for brand new is too much in my opinion but the old leather has worn through and I want wooden so I don't have that problem again. I need the leather on the sides to be beige/tan and I am not as picky about the color of the wood. I will have to find one used unless someone really needs to get rid of their wheel for a lower price. Thank you for everyone's help. FOr the man that started this thread I figure you are way ahead of me on the research end and I would really appreciate what you discovered and what you finally decided to do and what you what recommend I do. Thank you for your time!!!!

Hey CJ, I ended up purchasing a refurbished steering wheel on eBay. It was advertised to fit Land Cruisers 1998 - 2003 and it fit my 1999 LX 470 perfectly. Leather color is a little lighter, but I'm guessing it will darken with age and grime. Wood was a pretty close match. However, I am concerned that the refurbished wheel won't last. I live in Sacramento and it can get pretty hot in the summer. Within a week of being parked in hot sun, wood started to crack along a seam. I contacted the eBay seller and he replaced it after I paid the shipping. The new wheel color match was better and the seam hasn't cracked...but now I keep a sunshade in the windshield to help keep it cooler. I do still believe the "seam" is still subject to cracking because I can feel the seam just a little and I couldn't before. Cost of the wheel was $499.00 But I was able to return the first wheel I purchased for a full refund...after going through the eBay dispute process. Good Luck.
