I know this isnt electric hobby related but I thought someone here might know a little about hard wiring and electrical issues. I bought a set of 2002 Acura MDX front power seats for my FJ62. These seats have power, heat, and side impact. I need wiring diagram or help configuring the wires to run the heat and power.
I am sure this is a 12v system but how many amps? Can I run the wires to the fuse box but to what size fuse? It has factory plug attached to seats so should I cut the plug and splice wires?
As you can tell, I am in over my head when it comes to electrical. I have searched the web for diagrams but have come up short. If someone doesnt mind schoolin me a little, it would be much appreciated.

Google for "2002 acura mdx fuse diagram" turned up this thread: 2002 MDX Center Console power out - Acura MDX Forum : Acura MDX SUV Forums

Looking at the pictures shows that the wiring goes to several different fuses - I see "seat heater relay (7.5A)" and "driver's seat power control unit (10A)" among others. I'd search over there for a wiring diagram to tell you which wires go to what and what fuse they have on each of them - you're not going to want to just twist all the power leads together and run them through a single fuse.
