I need some help bad and quick! I'm on the verge of buying another Pig shes a 1975 gold and white gal from AZ. 79 2F motor, 6000# winch, Long range tank, roll bar, yada yada yada.

She has a little rust and a somewhat secrative past, the current care taker has had her for sale for a couple months - (I've been internet lurking on the ad) and i was able to convince myself if i called him he'd tell me he ad a deal working and so it was no use to call. We'll had a couple extra hours yesterday so I called anyways. Geeezz Yep guy had just left said he wanted to buy her - just needs to have a check clear - but yeah still for sale and i could come look. Loaded Princes and Riley (my cannine advisors on all things important) and we went to look. Owner doesn't know much about her - but says she is great, no "the odometer just quit running", rear window does work, winch not wired, FJ60 Disc brake kit conversion is in back of truck with an FJ60 steering box. She has some cancer - but I think I can save her - really!!!. Looks like any 36 yr old gal trying desperatly to pass herself off as a teenager. Owner failed my little lie detector test "So what kind of milage do you get with this truck - Response 18 - 19 on highway less around town". So everything he says is suspect.

SO Help me - PLEASE? I got a 71 FJ55 - about 5 projects behind on it, and FJ60 - about 4 projects behind on that one, a 66 Olds, an 84 Avanti, a 75 Porsche, a 58 Rambler, a R Code Cobra Torino, a company car and the :princess: drives a new Hyundai Tucson.

But I really think she has potential

So if ya got a great snap out of it speech I need it bad - NOW!

Avanti! That is a cool rig. I 've seen those things hotroded out and they are way cool.

You need to lose a vehicle before you can get the Pig. Get rid of the Hyundai...

Hey I work for those Hyundai Kia guys I get two of em for free. But I figure when :princess: notices the 'other' FJ55 parked in front on the street for week or so may be able to get rid of the Tucson and the :princess: for a payment process. :frown: Three vehicles I was told that was it! ;)

And the DMV, we have an arrangement they lie to me and jerk me around every chance they get so I turn the other cheek and treat em the same way every chance I get. :cheers:

Sounds like you need to focus on one project and do that one up right. Let someone on the list give the Pig the attention it deserves! Not knockin', just sayin'. It can either be a lawn ornament for years until you get to it or let someone who's new to pigs have one to enjoy and keep on the road.

Jeez, here I am lecturing someone else about hoarding, when I'm my own worst enemy. :hhmm:

It didn't work, bought her last Friday joins the other vehicles you see on the signature plus more. I'm a vehicle hoarder :) However that said she will be my show 55 my other 55 will be my trail 55. I think vehicles are like kids you seem to have enough love for all of them. No matter how many you have. This new gal needs very little to be really nice - she'd lived in AZ all of her life. The people spoke so I followed their direction. Actually I was pretty confident that they would lead me the 'right ' way. I wanted her bad for some of her equipment and the lack of cancer. My other 55 would be a big big job to restore because of all the rust this truck is pretty rust free. After repairing what little rust there is on her, I'm going to coat her vulnerable areas in Rust Bullet so I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Good luck with your decision - my vote is still "gi it!" :)

YEAH!!!

Sounds great - she looks real good One thing for sure you wont see a lot of others like her around with some TLC she'll be a great fun vehicle for you. With all the great guys on this site everythings easy - except payin for stuff.

I ordered my 2nd piggy's CA DMV name plate yesterday YOTA PIG

Go to get her inspected next week and registered officially to my pen.
