I am struggling trying to find the exact size of the speakers in my lx470, 2001 with the nav and ML. Also has anyone had issues with using 4ohm speakers with the 8ohm ML amp? My gut tells me to only use 8ohm speakers with 8ohm amp but I've read some threads with people using 4 ohm alpine speakers. Just dont want to blow my amp. Also, has anyone found a way to upgrade the factory nav without losing climate control ability? Thank you for any insight.

Get 8 ohm drivers from parts express. Lexus May be fancy so I ask Do the tweeters have separate inputs on the factory amp or is there some sort of factory crossover. If not just go on express and get 8 ohm replacement drivers that are super efficient. Factory amp likely doesn’t out a whole lotta power

Thank you for your reply and info. I will have to check on the tweeters and if there is a crossover. Thank you again!

Actually It doesn’t matter if there’s crossover or not really just match ohm rating of speaker you’re replacing and find something that can be efficient with low power

I just refoamed my existing speakers. Good as new for $20 a pair, and the sub was about $10. You can look up videos on YouTube on you to do it, and kits are available on Amazon and eBay. Look them up by speaker part number. This way I was able to skip worrying about fit and load, and save some money on a cheap experiment that worked great.
