Possible, but it could also be the dreaded “cam tower leak”. I’m just not sure if airflow from the fan will push oil up that high if that’s the source.
it is definitely easier to try doing valve cover gaskets first.
If you end up replacing the valve cover gaskets, plan to replace the spark plug tube seals along with the other required oil line gaskets on the valve train. Those are notorious for leaking on the 5.7.
