I know this is hard to read and I wish we had a better pic :)

What I know: 1992 Landcruiser PZJ70

I'm looking for the build date, and any other specifics.

What information can you pull from this VIN plate?

The build date on that site is misleading. My vin plate says 9/90 but the site has my truck built 5/93.... just a datapoint

Interesting, what market is your vehicle from? Most Toyotas don't have a build date on them.

If you have paper part catalogs, you can inference build dates from frame numbers and they are generally very close to things like the Australian numbers added on after the fact.

The below example is for the 80 series but all of the versions are reasonably similar.

Agreed the build date on that site is misleading, a good reference however. No other indicators of build date I can easily see, I will have to dig a little deeper and see if I can find any information on the frame.

Does your cruiser have a white tag (on the nylon) of the seatbelt buckle with the build date of the vehicle?

Mine shows 7/90 which seems spot on.

A/11 is the Honsai plant . The V after PZJ70 says its LHD and the MN is the market designation ,which for yours is General. The K255 are the 8 inch diffs. I forget what the number on the end means but it tells you whether it has open diffs ,LSD diff or locker diffs.
The R151F is the light duty 5sp

There was a site called Landcruiser FAQ but it exists only as a cache for some pages ,not the plate decoder section. I cant find it anywhere.
