HELP! Nasty front end "popping" noise...

A Hilux surf is basically a diesel 4Runner. Quite a few parts swap over. All the ones I have seen in Canada are RHD.

Is there a problem with the locking hub on the right hand side? I have had a similar noise caused by one of my manual hubs.

Check your ball joints.. Wheel bearings can also make that noise, usually other noises go along with it but no harm in checking..

Open up your hubs. Sounds like something is trying lock up then unlock. Or check the differential. My buddy had a faulty hub that caused popping and binding every so often
