wow, how many years has it been parked?
it can be done!

has not been run in over 6 years last insured in 83 i believe , has been towed once from chilliwack to coquitlam 3 years ago and sat ever since , the owner has another 40 from the states and a heap ( TJ ) .

the original owner drove it every where from alska down to the baja, my thinking is $1000 is too much considering it has not been run in over 6 years, but hell what do i know ?

I will go look at a couple of allready "fixed" ones and go from there .

$3800 in Westbank, posted on Tuesday.... I still like Jeff's better...;)

Castanet Classifieds - 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4

That yellow one was in New West a while back for 1800 bucks, I remember it cause the Canadian flag.

When in doubt ask the expert, Why doesnt somebody get that one in Chilliwack BJ 42 ( the blue one , dark) for under 7000grand. After looking at the junk for 2000, 3000 Get Jeffs or the blue one, if it is not in your price range , ask yourself where in the fawk are you going to get the money to make it drivable ?

Agreed. Mine was probably worse and also parked since the early 80's. That one actually looks like a reasonable starting point, but it will take more time, effort and money than a 40 is worth to get it back to decent shape. Since you are apt to change your mind about it at some point, do yourself a favour and buy something closer to your weekend fun machine goal and in better shape. It will take a lot to acheive the streetable part of your goal starting with a long term stored vehicle.

... :lol::lol::lol:

I think if you looked on the Bellingham or Seattle Craig's list you will be more likely to find a nice driveable LC trail machine at a decent price.

These below should help settle your mind ...

the piggie looks nice , i have had enough 60's , i want a 40 or 45 .

Then buy Jeff's rig and just start having fun. You will not find a better deal on a 40. The 40s I have seen on Craigslist just South of the border are as much money or more and are in worse condition. Just think V8 power on propane economy: :steer: = :D

Was trying to talk my buddy into this one.He's been looking for the right FJ40 or 45 for about 8 months now.He's kind of particular about what he wants.That one wouldn't fit the wife and kid.What would you want to take them alone in the first place for anyways?Wheelin is a good excape.

The word on the 45 is that it has rusted out quite badly, i have not gone and looked at it though so i cant say for sure, it was aparently at one time a truck show winner :) .

I've only e-mailed with Josh about it.He says there is rust but in easy repairable places.Josh states that the frame is good.Jcolvin has a aqualu cab and box for sale.Combine the two and you have a pretty sweet ride.
