Help identify cb/radio by Novatel ?

Hi, I bought my fj62 a few years ago and under the pass. front seat I had this cb/radio box mounted. It is made by Novatel, does anyone know what it actually is and/or how does it work?
I have no clue on how it works or what else is missing to get it to work. Any help or info would be great,thanks...gil

A little googling around on the model number suggests that it is an old (mid 80's) AMPS cell phone radio. AMPS was the analog cellphone service that ran on 800-900 MHz, prior to the current digital standards. As far as I know all AMPS cell service was shut down in the US a few years ago.

Ya, that's an old analog cell phone. Worthless now except for maybe in a museum.

Thanks guys,I figured it had something to do with a telephone but was not sure. I read up on that info,didn't know they had that type of analog cell phone.Now I can chuck it out the door,thanks again.
