HELP!! crank but no start condition after head gaskets done

So I bought a running 92 4runner with blown head gaskets. I took it all apart did the heads to the machine shop and put it all back together no problem. Ive checked timing and it seems to be good from what I can tell and I have spark. and from what I can tell the spark plug wires are right. Could it have something to do with the distributor not being right or any ideals? Thanks

Is everything electrical plugged in?

The distributor could definitely be the issue. Roll up to TBC 1 again and restab if you think it is off.

Is the ground on the intake manifold for the injectors hooked up?

put a timing light on it while cranking it over.

Ya all the grounds are hooked up. How do you tell on the distributor where it should be when its at tdc on piston one?

If you have a timing light, then check the timing. (The gun won't work if you don't have spark, and if you can't even see the mark, then you are off on the timing.)

Turn crank to TDC (Pull the #1 spark plug and make sure that you're on a compression stroke as you turn it to TDC), and pull the dist cap. Look at where the #1 goes into the cap and see if the rotor is pointed in the vicinity.

My guess is you're 180* out with the distributor.

And don't forget to jumper the connection.....

Ok looks like I know what im doing tomorrow i've read a couple fourms and Im pretty sure it the distributor. Thanks for helping and all the info

Its got the 3vzfe, doesn't that only have to do with reading the codes?
