This is not a very hardcore topic, and is in fact for a little 2wd 1993 Pickup. I use this truck strictly for work hauling displays to some of our trade shows. It currently has some puny 195/70R14 tires on it, rims are 7" wide with zero offset (so 3.5" BS). I am going to put normal 15" rims on it, most likely 7" wide.

Can anyone help suggest appropriate backspacing for this setup. I was only going to use a 215/75R15 tires, as this is 98% street vehicle and I have no desire to lift it. I was guessing 4" BS on a 15x7", but am unsure and was planning on ordering rims without doing a test fit. My cruisers do the dirty stuff. Also, where can I find stock wheel specs?

Thanks,

Jesse

maybe 4crawler.com has wheel specs.

go with the 15" wheels. i dont know what the back spacing would be. does it really make a difference? those front calipers are so weenie on those 2 wheelers..

i swear if i ever see you driving that thing with 20" or bigger wheels im gonna stuff you in the glove box!
:flipoff2:

Stock backspacing was probably 3.5 on a 7 inch rim... That way the mounting surface is centered on the tire, reducing any leverage on the bearings.... They were always thinking... If a 14x7x3.5 bs fit, a 15x7x3.5 bs should be no problem... I'd find a stock set, buy them, and go from there. :D

Yeah, I think backspacing is backspacing i.e. a 10" wheel with 3.5 bs will just stick out of the wheelwell more but still have the same amount in the well as the 7'.

Pretty sure that is the way it works.

I'd stay as far back as I could. You can run the "deep dish" but just know its got more leverage on the B.js.
