My u-joints are bad in my rear shaft and the drive shaft shop wants dealer prices to rebuild it. I found a 86 shaft and am wondering if it will fit. No i don't want to go out and measure it. Also is there any good aftermarket u-joints for my 4-runner? Thanks.

WTF?? You want us to do your work for you?

Many people have learned the hard way that OEM U-joints are well worth the money. How many miles did you get out of the 24-year old ones in your truck now? The ones in my '87 are still perfect, 250K. There's no such thing as too much (or too often) grease on them.

YUP :D truck and drive shaft are in different places!! 240,000 miles and the 22re is still kicking. does anybody know if the first generation rear drive shaft is the same length and bolt pattern as the 2 generation?
