Hi all, been lurking for a little while now, and just joined the forum in order to benefit from the wealth of knowledge (got specific questions!), and offer what I can. I will post picks of my 85 4Runner here soon (need to get a few more flattering shots).

In the mean time, thought I would try and post this shot from my trip to Tibet last year (just before the Buddhist "riots"). It seemed to me that 1/4 of all vehicles on the road (barring cargo transport) were Land Cruisers (count five in this shot at a gas station). Another 1/4 were 4Runners or the Chinese-ripoff-version of 4Runner. I am barely exaggerating here, honest!

Yeah I was just watching a show on the Travel chanel about this mass pilgrimage to a holy site in the mountains of Tibet and literaly EVERYtruck that was heading up was an 80 Series Cruiser.

Another random parking lot shot, I think six LCs in this view. Seriously I thought I had died and gone to Shangrila. Wish I had taken shots of the Chinese 4Runner copy, it was virtually IDENTICAL to the original (scroll down this link to see it chinese car thread - Page 5 - SkyscraperCity)
