hello, well stumbled on this site a little while ago. i live just outside of colorado springs. i've got an 85 runner. and i wheel it whenever i can. try to do all my own work, and look forward to learning more.
right now it's sitting on 35's bfg at's (hey don't knock them they've been through hell) , 2in sus, 3in bl, made a custom slim rear bumper, cobra cb. european spec headlights (not the pos blue ones), 170 lightforce. also rhino lined the inside.

Stop in and say hi, maybe meet up with us at a meeting or a Trail Ride!

:flipoff2: right back at ya guys. yeah it was a really beautiful truck until it was stolen by some :censor: morons. they beat the hell outta the body, but at least i got it back mostly unstripped, thus the multi colored interrior, and black grille.

wow great looking 4runner i wish mine could have a purdy paint job like that (to mutch road salt in newengland)

Puss Yota, I have an 85 also. It's got a 4" suspension lift.I'm not into body lifts.I had a bad experience with one on my 72 GMC 1/2 ton 4by.I didn't install it.That thing was dangerous.Other than the lift and rims and 32s, it's pretty much stock. My 4runner has been the most reliable truck I've owned. It's got over 340,000 miles on it and I just put a new motor, trans, clutch, radiator ,hoses belts, SR5 front seats and brakes. The axles are next and it'll be ready for another 300,000.I took it to Cal Mini Trucks to have the All-Pro Offroad stuff installed including Marlin crawler dual transfer case and all the other trick stuff and it was going to cost 15,000 and change ,so, I just took the cash and bought a tricked out FJ 60. I'm still gonna keep the runner.Peace,Dave

i hear a lot of pro and con over body lifts. seams you either love them or hate them. personally i love mine because it makes working on things much easier. the way i want my truck to sit eventually is to have a 3" suspension lift and 2" Body lift. i'm gonna get my lift springs from alcan. i think they're prolly some of the best you can buy. once i get that done i'd like to do a drive train lift. and get a nice flat belly.

the liner works out pretty well. i used duraback, which does seam to work better than herculiner. it is peeling in a few places though. but i'm pretty sure it's because i used the wrong primer. the biggest PIA was getting all the carpet glue out. however i have learned of some new tricks to try. if you are thinking about lining your inside lemme know and i'll tell you what i learned from doing mine.
