holly crap:eek: that rig is pristine nice work, looks new

That's gotta be the cleanest Toyota I've ever seen

I'm curious to know how you set up the bed to slide out like that. I've got a friend that did that for easy tool access, and it didn't work so hot. . .too much weight cantilevered on it. I tried to convince him to use the rails and wheels off a garage door, but he wouldn't buy it. :D

Roll Out!

What I did was is to build a rail about halfway down the center section on each side. On the underside of this rail I attached a piece of aluminum(.125) for the rolling surface. Then on the sides of the kit, there is a additional rail that sits on the bed, and on top of that I mounted some hard 2" casters(upside down). So the center section rolls out on the casters, with the metal surface. Rolls smooth.

Roll Out!

I should also mentioned, that in the construction of the whole kit I have dadoed and glued and screwed all joints. The framework is 2x4's. Then the bottom of the slide out is 1/2" plywood that is glued and screwed every 4 inches. Also on the left side of the slide out, their is a storage section that goes the whole length for stuff like fishing poles, my sport kite, long things like that. Then each cover you see is separate storage(3 in slide out). Then on each side near the back towards the side of bed is storage. I did not put any storage in front of the wheel wells bedside since to hard to reach anyway. Right now, I have the engine taken apart to install a upgraded head and cam with oversize stainless valves, mild port and polish. All my parts are being powder coated also. I just finished reundercoating, and painting the bottom end of the truck. I also rebuilt the front knuckle assemblies in front axle. Installing new shocks while I am at it. Redid all my wiring under the hood, Getting ready to go to Toyofest 2008.
