now that you mentioned it, there may not be any heat in the lumbar area, now I gotta check, but agreed, not alot of heat anyway compared to others, you can't stand the high setting on my wifes X5 for long, but I can't drive that thing for long anyway, those seats kill my back, no lumbar support at all, the lc seats are way more comfortable overall.

One reason my friend here bought his 04 lc was because the seats were good on his bad back.

Believe me, if you don't have back trouble, you sure don't want it..
 
The factory service manual states
a) Heat the thermostat with a light.
b) Connect the seat cushion and seat back connector.
c) Inspect the seat heater cushion and seat back continuity
between terminals, as shown.

"Thermostat" being the key word there. It's supposed to cycle from the sounds of it. Mine does.
 
Wifey thinks they come on, then cool off for a while, then come back on again.

Yes, bottom cushion and lower back both heat up.
 
My seat BACK still seems to heat up only occasionally...I wonder what is up with that ?
